Pistachio is from Western Asia but it is mostly also available in the Mediterranean region. The nutrient

rich pistachio is a nut. Actually pistachio is a fruit, but the the outer shell of the fruit is removed

and the yellow coloured seed kernel is usually eaten as it is edible.Pistachio actually are kernels

obtained from fruits belonging to the Anacardiaceae family, in the genus: Pistacia. The plant is a

medium sized broad, bushy, dioecious, deciduous tree, believed to have originated in the mountain

ranges of West-Asia and Turkey region.Pistachios are the wonderful dry fruits loaded with the lots

of nutrients required for the healthy growth and development of the body.
