The most popular outfit of males and females of Kashmir is phiran .It is very long in size as compare to other dresses .it is also known as the traditional dress of Kashmir . The phiran Is generally made of Silk and wool. It is desined with coiourful flowers elements and styles. It have different looks and styles.
The Islamic ladies wear phiran which is long up to knees .because of their culture.It is not only as fashion point but also it keep body warm . Hindu ladies use their phirans long, extending up to their legs with simplified down flesh light sleeves. Male phiran dresses are quite simple without any colorful designs.
On the other hand, Islamic Kashmiri females use a red headwear known as the
“kasaba”. The kasaba is means of a turban and is pinned together by brooches. Some of the phiran Are very expensive because embroidery it is done with hand . These dresses are used in winter season mostly by residents of Kashmir valley .
