How to make Kahwa in an easy way
Making Kahwa is an art so experiment with amounts of spices until you come up with your favorite
way to make it. You may like certain spices stronger or more/less sugar, and color is also important.
Saffron Kahwa has the golden color so depending on the quality and source of the saffron you may
need more/less or longer time covered. Regular Kahwa is usually not too dark in color and not too
brown from cinnamon so experiment to see how adjusting the cinnamon affects color.Remember, for
mastering the art of making Kahwa, you’ll have to work with different amounts of spices till you
reach that desired taste & flavour. Some people may add some spices more than you do. The quality
and the time you soak your saffron decides the golden colour of the Saffron Kahwa. Kahwa is not
too dark in colour.
Ingredients:
1.Kashmiri Tea (Kehwa) or Kashmiri Green tea- 2 pinches
2.Saffron Strands (Kesar)- 2 pinches
3.Green Cardamom (Chhoti elaichi) – 2 (coarsely crushed)
4.Almonds or Badam- 8 (coarsely crushed)
5.Cinnamon (Dalchini)- 1 stick
6.Sugar- 2 tablespoons
Method :
1. Boil 3 cups of water along with cinnamon, cardamom, Kesar (Saffron) and Kashmiri Tea (Kehwa)

2. Leave to boil and infuse for 8-10 minutes
3. In 4 cups add small quantity of coarsely crushed almonds. Strain the boiling infusion into each
cup.
4. Serve hot and enjoy the heavenly tea.
