first Tuesday or Saturday after the wedding, the bride’s parents should send the groom’s family a

long freshly baked bread adorned with nuts and, salt .The belief behind this practice is that,

the parents can be assured that their daughter will be able to eat something on her way to the

groom’s house.Kashmiri people offen use two types of tea (Noon Chai or Sheer Chai).This chai

is the common breakfast tea in Kashmiri households. It is made with black tea, milk, salt and

bicarbonate of soda and basically this chai is a salted chai.One more type of drink which is used

by kashmiri people is (Kahwah).This is a special chai mainly prepared At marriage feasts, festivals,

and religious places it is made with saffron, spices, and almonds or walnuts and almost 20

varieties of Kahwah are prepared in different households.
